ATL 68, MIA 52
-Apparently Zo spoke to Beasley before 2nd half. See that did a lot of good with a turnover on first touch.
-The idea of starting Beasley in the 2nd half and going small is understandable, especially with a hurt Horford. But it doesn't work if he's playing in Spongebob land.
-Miami's been down big three times in this series. This is the first time they've generated a third quarter response.
-But they still can't buy a 3. And Johnson drills one from the corner to vault ATL up 13. Not a good sign when you work your ass off to have nothing show for it on the scoreboard.
-Beasley has fumbled the ball twice in the last minute. This is pathetic.
-Horford plows into James Jones before scoring from 8 feet out. Time out Spoelstra with the Heat down 15 4:58 left. If they don't have a response, season over.
-They had a short 7-3 response. That was before a horrible Wade turnover(see below) and 5 straight Atlanta points. That's the problem in this game: No MIA runs beyond 4 or 5 points.
-The Wade MVP detractors are gonna feast on his not getting the ball over in 8 seconds.
-Not a huge believer in the playoff experience argument. But there's something to be said when the inexperienced team has 15 turnovers and the experienced one has 4.
-A 16-point fourth quarter comeback is possible when Dwyane Wade is on your team. But it seems like today is gased/frustrated D-Wade versus taking over the world D-Wade. Don't see it today.
3rd Quarter Quote of the Day: "Sometimes your best bench is no bench." JVG.
