Heat-Hawks GM 7 1st Quarter Comments

END OF 1: ATL 20, MIA 18

-The team that ends the 1st quarter ahead has won the game all 6 times. That bodes well for Atlanta. But that was the most evenly played start of the series.

-Hawks took the lead thanks to a 6-0 run and a bad turnover/accidental James Jones foul bumping into Mike Bibby.

-Dwyane Wade(8 pts) looks completely healthy and is taking everything to the paint. Obviously easier to do with a limited Horford.

-Udonis Haslem, next to Wade is the most clutch player on the team. 6 pts, 7 rbs.

-Unfortunately, the good Josh Smith has also showed up.

-Not a fan of Beasley at the 3 in GM 7, since that means he gets Joe Johnson on him. Really not a fan of Beasley passing up a 2-foot fastbreak layup.

-Jermaine O'Neal surprises everyone with a 2-min stint off the bench, which produces 2 fouls and an air ball. There may not be an encore performance today.

-Quote of the quarter: "The Heat may be young, but that's overrated because everyone knows what to do. The wildcard is Beasley." Marc Jackson.
